Building strong connections between parents, teachers, and schools is essential for fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for students. When parents and teachers work together, they can share valuable insights into a child's academic progress, social development, and overall well-being. This collaboration ensures that students receive consistent encouragement, guidance, and resources both at school and at home. Strong partnerships also help identify and address challenges early, leading to more personalized support for each child. Ultimately, the connection between parents, teachers, and schools plays a vital role in nurturing confident, motivated, and successful students.

Drop-off and Pick-up Guidelines
As teachers, staff and parents of Greenville Elementary students, our PRIORITY is the SAFETY of all students and people. We are continually reviewing the drop-off and pick-up procedures, and have identified necessary changes to encourage and ensure the safety of all of our students. SAFETY is our number one priority!
Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures: (Updated March 2024)
Front Drive:
1. All students MUST exit unassisted on the passenger side.
2. Drivers must pull all the way forward while not blocking the crosswalks.
3. No leapfrogging in line.
4. Once your child is dropped off/picked up, pull out and the cars behind will pull forward to fill the gap.
5. All traffic must turn right when exiting the front drive.
-No drop off in the West Parking Lot or in the lower bowl
-Parents needing to assist their child out of the car must use the lower bowl parking lot to park and then walk their child up the stairs to the crosswalk.(Indicated by purple stars.)
-Parents may also drop off along the fence on 2500 N. (Indicated by blue arrow.)
*Preschool parents must wait until 9:00 to enter the student drop off lane.
As teachers and staff here at Greenville, we recognize that parents would like the drop-off and pick-up procedure to run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. As parents, we ask that you please:
Respectfully follow these safety procedures as outlined above.
Have children enter and exit the car on the passenger side during pick-up and drop-off, to ensure their safety, as vehicles are continually pulling out around other vehicles.
Help and support Greenville Teachers and Staff in our efforts to keep your children safe.
Remind your children to walk on sidewalks, and cross in designated areas only.
Remind your children of these safety procedures
Thank you so much for your help and support as we strive to keep all of our students safe here at Greenville Elementary. Just an interesting bit of trivia–from the time the dismissal bell rings at 3:35, until the carpool line is done, pick-up ONLY takes about 7-9 minutes (yes, we’ve timed it)! Trying to save an extra minute or two is not worth the risk of a child being injured.
Parent-teacher conferences in elementary school play a crucial role in fostering a strong partnership between parents and educators, ultimately benefiting the child's academic and emotional growth. These meetings provide an invaluable opportunity for parents to gain insight into their child's progress, strengths, and areas for improvement while allowing teachers to share observations and strategies tailored to the child's unique learning style. By maintaining open communication, parents and teachers can work together to ensure that every child receives the support they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Parents can set up parent Canvas accounts and view the courses for which their children are enrolled. The process is simple and takes just a few minutes. Parents will need to work with their children to obtain the necessary "pairing codes" to complete the process.

Keeping our students, employees, and school visitors safe is a top priority. We regularly review and practice safety processes and procedures in our schools.
BUILDING SECURITY
Extensive measures have been taken at each CCSD school to ensure building security. We ask that parents support these efforts by checking in at the main office whenever they visit the school. Additionally, students and parents are encouraged to report any security or safety concerns immediately. To report a safety concern, please speak with a school administrator or, to report it anonymously, utilize SafeUT.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Our district has adopted standard response protocols (SRPs) as part of our school safety plan, which establishes uniform, planned, and practiced response to an emergency or incident. Monthly drills are held at each school so students and staff can become familiar with and practice the SRPs. The SRPs are:
HOLD. Students and staff remain in the room or area.
SECURE. Students and staff are inside the building with locked exterior doors.
LOCKDOWN. Interior doors are locked, lights are off, students and staff are out of sight.
SHELTER. Students and staff shelter in place and respond to the hazard appropriately.
EVACUATE. Students and staff move to an announced location.
The mission of the Cache County School District's Child Nutrition Program is to deliver safe, healthy, and enjoyable meals to the students of the Cache County School District. It is also our goal to provide a safe, clean and cheerful environment in the lunchroom and to give each student a positive experience during their meal.
G. R. A. B. Week is when every family in the school reads the same book at the same time. When a whole school reads one book with their families, there is a lot to talk about!
Children from all grade levels listen to the same book being read aloud at home even if they are old enough to read it themselves. When an entire school reads the same book, the buzz and excitement around the book brings an added sense of community among students, parents, teachers, staff, bus drivers, custodians, and cafeteria staff – and beyond.
DID YOU KNOW?
BENEFITS OF READING ALOUD
Reading aloud is simple. It is fun and inexpensive, but the benefits are monumental. Reading aloud to your children is the single most important thing you can do to help them succeed.
Research indicates that reading is one of the most influential factors which parents and teachers can offer children. Studies have shown that reading to children helps them to listen better and longer, to build bigger vocabularies, to understand concepts better, to feel positive about both books and learning – and much more.
