○ Trustlands (about $70,000)
Our reading goal is to increase percent of students scoring benchmark or higher on the acadience reading composite score (RC) on the mid year assessment from this year’s 70% at benchmark to 75% by end of year
assessments in acadience.
To achieve: we will hire paraprofessionals (reading aides) to help with small group instruction for students marked as needing additional support from the acadience beginning of year reading.
Our math goal is to increase percent of student scoring benchmark or grade level from 56% to 59% based on the Rise test math portion.
To achieve this we will have time dedicated to working on student math paths via iReady mypath
*Title one question: How can we get the word out to the school community about the importance of applying for free or reduced lunch?
Filling out the form regardless of qualification or usage
Can we send out a flyer?
Deadline to apply is Oct. 1
○ TSSA ($85,000)
Goal to identify students who are in need of mental and emotional support

-Are there any pathways in need of sidewalks as part of our safe walking route?
-We need to establish and map our school safe walk route and put it on the state safe route website: https://saferoutes.utah.gov/school-mapping/
-Can we apply for safer signage or lights for certain intersections?
Research and response from Stephanie
-Can we survey the school about some of these intersections and their concerns?
Other Items?

We have purchased most of the technology. Some of it, like document cameras, come under the supply budget.
$3300 for new tv monitors in 3 classrooms
$8800 for iPads in the classrooms and small groups
$1100 for a chromebook cart
$2200 on two software licenses (iReady for math and Go Guardian for monitoring safe internet use)
Remaining budget for supplies is about 10% of the year's budget or about $6600.
Safe Routes map is submitted, approved and available for viewing: https://www.saferoutesutahmap.com/map/school-maps/greenville-elementary-409
We are looking to write a grant under Safe Routes and Public Works so that we can paint the sidewalks marking the safe routes to the school. The grant can include safe route signs.
Areas of concern for walking etc:
-400 east and around 2800 north across from Meadow View Park
-Canal Road (600 east and 2500 north), It is not well maintained and is sometimes gated off.
-400 east and 2000 north to 2200 north. There is no sidewalk currently until the roundabout at 2200 north.
-400 east and eastbound along 2200 north also needs sidewalking by agricultural field
School Report Card:
Growth was typical in some areas but there are a couple of grades/cohorts of students who we believe need additional support. They may have been adversely affected during the Covid area.
We have a few additional programs that are being utilized for support including Amira for reading: https://www.amiralearning.com/
Another program is iReady MyPath for math: https://apps.ccsdut.net/ (iReady)
ELL students made commendable progress.
Our overall school grade is a C with 54.3% of our students being proficient in grade standards. We don’t anticipate this being our grade for next year’s results.
How do we keep the individual student from falling behind?
Progress monitoring
Student assistance meetings
Next Meeting Date: Nov 16, 2022
Title 1 numbers will hopefully be available by the next meeting. Next year we could display the annual income numbers for those that would qualify for free or reduced lunch (which is the criteria for meeting title one status).

Mid-Year Acadience Report: Looked at the graphic chart of how grades grew from beginning to middle of the school year in reading (Acadience)
-
Each grade level of teachers has met and looked at the data on an individual basis to see which students moved up and down.
-
Our school is TSI status in EL and so we are monitoring those students more frequently to check for growth. The school district also provided some extra aides to help with that. We currently have 30 kids in the school who are EL.
-
Next month we will go over the findings to offer explanations as to why the growth in some grades was stagnant.

Review TSSA expenditures: Budget continues to be on track
-
Review TL expenditures: Grant matching funds will show us on track when it is applied to that budget.
-
Review of final report: 65% started in Fall 2020 which turned to 73% in mid-year of that school year. The goal was to increase to 76% by year’s end.
This school year we started at 70.8% proficient, then went down to 70.2%. As to why we had a slight drop, we are still looking at the data. Factors may be increased absenteeism since the pandemic, less time for tiered instruction or loss of title one funding helps.
Math was to rise from a 62% proficiency in 2018-19 to 64% when we retook the Rise math test in 2020-2021. We actually scored 49% [for] 2020-2021, which was a 13% drop. This was due to a gap of no testing on Rise due to the pandemic and coming back with severe math gaps but still administering the Rise math test.
-
2023-2024 plan discussion: We are looking to increase reading proficiency by 5% from 70% at the start to 75% at year’s end this year.
-
Math: we hope to make a gain of 56% from the 2021- 2022 year to 59% proficient in math for this year’s Rise testing.
-
We will continue to do all day Kindergarten and in school pre-school sessions to help our school community.
We have 44 EL students and have been given more aide time to help support these students.
Be on the lookout for coming bonds to build additional middle schools for our school district. We hope the communities will support this next bond.

TL 2023-2024 Proposed Plan Review
TSSA: The budget is still on track to be used up to about $1000 by year’s end.
Trustlands: Budget has to be adjusted due to some school personnel drawing from this budget that should not be….finance team is working to reconcile this budget. To be updated at the next meeting.
Goals:
Reading: We will move 15% of our students, in each grade, who are not proficient in their Fall 2023 Acadience Reading Assessment to proficient by Spring 2024 Acadience Reading Assessment….Proposed goal
In our current year, we had 0% movement in proficiency from Fall to Spring.
To help with our reading goal we do tiered reading groups for grades K-4 each day for about 30 minutes. SCC believes we should continue to fund these reading group programs. We also prioritize keeping technology education tools up to date and used for support for this goal.
Math: Growth goal based on the iReady math program. We will have 60% of our school population meet their math growth goal from the Fall assessment to the Spring assessment. These growth goals are individualized/adapted on the iReady program. There is a mid-year assessment to check for mid-year progress for each student.
iReady has been made available to the school for the foreseeable future.

Pick up/Drop off issues getting more loose as the year goes on.
Parents getting out of their car in the circle drive to get kids loaded in their car. It causes delays and backups along 400 E and in the circle drive itself.
The west lot is being used for pick up and should only be for parking. Temporary bus duty position for the west lot.
For now, we can move the visitors slots so they can be better used for parking drop off.
We will also have some North Logan officials come and give us some recommendations for how to best utilize our parking for safer drop off and pick up.

TSSA Expenditure Review
Budget is on track with tech expenditures.
-
TL Expenditure Review
We have $332.31 left. We had a part of the Trustlands leave the budget because we had an excess amount that the district monitored and reclaimed. We now have 1.13% of the budget left in TL.
-
TL 2023-2024 Proposed Plan was approved by the district and so our goals, as we discussed in March, are now in effect for the 23-24 school year.
-Sidewalks: With new construction around our area, sidewalks are required by the developers. The remaining sidewalks in built areas will be covered by a grant that the city will apply for and will be used to get sidewalks on our identified most needed streets for safe student walking to the school.
-Parent Input: Survey concerns included behavior support as well as recognition for good behavior. We have our positive character ticket drawings each month.
We would like to add onto it by having a poster board with pictures of the kids who are being acknowledged for these positive character behaviors i.e. kindness, perseverance, sharing.
Each class has two kids per month for the posterboard (roughly 18 kiddos)
Award assembly (fast one) each month to introduce the next month’s character theme and recognize student excellence. Invite parents to these assemblies.
Another thought is to bring back WatchDog, the dad specific volunteer program. The hope is to have it so it is worth it for everyone, meaning they have things to do in the classrooms and we have a way to schedule them effectively.
Back to School Night: Do we want to do a parent assembly as part of Back-to-School Night? Go over PTA, Free lunch, introduce faculty….etc. and after this general assembly let the parents meet the teachers.
We can also do an open house still a couple of days before school starts…a couple of hours, informal, to let kids and parents peek in and see the class.
Another suggestion is to have a Back-to-School Night a few days after school has started.
Safety
Drop off and pick up has improved.
West parking lot is still being used for pick up.
